Burritos: The machaca burrito is our favorite here, and it has to fill with meat, beans, and cheese. Just keep in mind that the portions are significant! If you’re craving chips and salsa, check out El Cholo — it’s located next door to Zocalo Grill.

Tacos: The Omg tacos here are delicious, and the shrimp tacos have a great flavor. If you’re with a group, you can order one of the many combination platters that come with chips, beans, rice, and meat.

Tacos: We’re huge fans of the Omg tacos here, and the fillings you need to include al pastor, campechanas (spicy pork with chorizo and potato), barbacoa, and tripe. We love the horchata here as well!

Burritos: The al pastor burrito is delicious here, but we also have a soft spot for the wild boar taco because it’s a rare find. There are no complications here – order what you like best.

Glen Bell, a businessman who first established Bell’s Drive-In, a hot dog stand in San Bernardino, California, in 1948, later launched Taco Bell. Bell observed large lines of patrons at the Mitla Cafe, a Mexican eatery across the street that was well-known among the locals for its tacos with hard shells. Bell an effort to reverse-engineer the formula, and ultimately the proprietors gave him permission to see the tacos being prepar. In 1951, he used what he had discovered and established a new stand. Before deciding on Taco Bell, the name went through a number of revisions, going from Taco-Tia to El Taco.
