The renowned Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has spoken up about her divorce from NFL player Tom Brady and called it the “death of her dream.” She admitted in an interview with Vanity Fair that the rumors surrounding their divorce had been “extremely hurtful,” but she insisted that she would continue to support her ex-goals.
Gisele and Tom were one of the world’s most famous and gorgeous couples, so when they separated in 2015, their admirers were surprised. Several of the rumors circulating at the time said that the pair had grown apart as a result of the stress of their different occupations.
Gisele, however, was eager to clear the matter in her interview with Vanity Fair. She indicated that their divorce was the consequence of a gradual awareness that they were traveling distinct life paths rather than a single, dramatic incident.
“No one ever gets divorced because things are going great,” she said. “But I think that sometimes people stay in relationships for the wrong reasons. And I think that was the case for us. We had been growing apart for a while, and we both knew it.”
Gisele emphasized that she only ever wanted the best for Tom, despite the sadness and heartache that came with the breakdown of their marriage. She talked about how she had always been his strongest supporter and had helped him succeed throughout his career, even when it meant letting go of her own aspirations and objectives.

“Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever,” she said. “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”
However, Gisele has vehemently denied this, stating that their separation was purely down to the fact that they had grown apart and realized that they wanted different things in life. She explained that when they first met, they were both focused on starting a family and building a life together. But as time went on, their priorities shifted, and they began to want different things.
“Sometimes you grow together, and sometimes you grow apart,” she said. “We realized that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make. That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It’s a dance. It’s a balance.”
Gisele’s words are a reminder that even the strongest relationships can come to an end when priorities and desires shift.
However, she stressed that this did not mean that they did not still love each other. Gisele also took the opportunity to dismiss rumors that she was ‘against football’, stating that she had always loved watching Tom play and supported him throughout his career.

“I’ve never been against football,” she said. “I love watching Tom play, and I always have. Football has been a big part of our lives, and it always will be.”
Despite the sadness of their separation, Gisele remains optimistic about the future. She has found new purpose in her fashion career, which has seen a massive resurgence since her split from Tom. Since the divorce, Gisele has been linked to two men: her jiujitsu instructor Joaquim Valente and Elle Macpherson’s billionaire ex-husband Jeffrey Soffer. However, she has denied dating either person, saying that she is focusing on herself and her children.
The supermodel, whose fashion career has seen a massive resurgence since the split, has also been busy promoting her book, ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’.
