Canadian-born actor Nathan Fillion has worked his way into the hearts of millions of TV fans across Hollywood.
His acting career spanning a span of twenty-five years has borne much fruit for Nathan.
This hilarious and handsome actor is beloved for his incredible jawline and heartwarming sense of humor.
He has also appeared in more than eighty films and television shows. At the same time, he was doubling his role as a voice actor, playing roles that cut across both animation and video games.
Early Life
Nathan Fillion was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on March 27, 1971, to retired English teachers Robert “Bob” Fillion and June “Cookie” Fillion. He is the youngest of two children; his older brother is Jeff, a high school principal.
Fillion grew up in Edmonton’s Mill Woods neighborhood of Edmonton, where he completed his high school and post-secondary education. He also attended Holy Trinity Catholic High School, Concordia University College of Alberta, and the University of Alberta, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Society.
In 1977, he lost hearing in his left ear. Before moving to New York City in 1994, he was involved in improvising theater, including a theater with Rapid Fire Theater and the improvised soap opera Die-Nasty. He has been a US citizen since 1997.
Career
Fillion’s first regular role was on a soap opera, One Life to Live, as Joey Buchanan, where he remained for three years. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 1996 for his role.
Nathan appeared in recurring or guest roles on several television series over the next few years, including “Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place”, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and the movie “Saving Private Ryan”.
He starred in the cult short-lived hit “Firefly” in 2002, which spawned the feature film “Serenity,” and has appeared in several films, including “Slither”, “Waitress,” and “White Noise 2”.
He had a recurring role in “Desperate Housewives” in 2006 and appeared on the hit web series “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”.
He co-starred with Stana Katic in the famous “Castle” series Stana Katic from 2009 until the series was canceled in 2016. When Castle was filming, Fillion and co-star Stana Katic would have hated each other in real life.
But they had chemistry on the screen when the cameras rolled. His $ 100,000 per episode paycheck probably kept him going all these years.
In February 2018, Fillion was cast to play the role of John Nolan in ABC’s new television series The Rookie, created by former Castle executive producer Alexi Hawley.
Nathan has won no less than four different People’s Choice Awards and two other TV Guide Awards, among others.
BuddyTV placed him # 10 on the TV’s 100 Sexiest Men of 2009″.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, Nathan once worked as a Singing Telegram. Fillion has been associated with public artist Martin Firrell since 2009 as he is the subject of two of his contemporary public works of art.
Personal Life
This comedian managed to keep his private life despite his millions of fans. It is undeniable how beautiful he is. Nathan has been romantically associated with several actresses, including Krista Allen.
He started dating Krista Allen in 2015, but the couple is believed to have split amid rumors of marriage. I think it’s safe to call the hit actor a single.
Nathan Fillion and author PJ Haarsma founded their charity, Kids Need To Read.
The charity aims to increase literacy and put books in the hands of underprivileged children by delivering them to libraries.
