Justin Timberlake is always prepared for the worst.
The musician’s dance moves circulated on the internet and quickly became viral following his playing of “Sexy Back” at a show event last weekend – but not all reactions were positive.
In the wake of his recent dance chaos and amidst all-out chaos on TikTok, Timberlake took to social media with an apology.
“D.C., I want to apologize to you for two reasons,” Timberlake uploaded a video on his Instagram Story on Wednesday. Later in the clip, he diverts the camera downward to focus on his multi-hued sneakers. “Here and here!”

He continued jokingly, “I had a long talk with both of them individually and said, ‘Um, don’t you ever do that to me again.”
It’s not just the shoes; Timberlake also pointed fingers at his pants in a show-stopping moment. He mentioned that he felt like there was “a khaki vibe.”
To make light of the situation, Timberlake then re-uploaded TikToks mocking his moves on his Instagram Story – including a young girl copying the dance with a caption: “she did it better than JT.”
“I don’t disagree,” Timberlake remarked with a laughing emoticon.
