The Rolling Stones have been forced to call off their performance in Amsterdam after Mick Jagger tested positive for COVID-19.
The Rolling Stones are regretful that their concert has been postponed. The band is now on their Sixty tour – they were scheduled to perform on 14 shows in 10 European nations.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding,” said Sir Mick, who was knighted in 2003 for his services to music, in a message to their fans.
There is no need to worry, as tickets for the original show will be valid on the new date.
The band has already performed on three of their tour dates, counting one in the UK at Anfield in Liverpool.

“The Rolling Stones have been forced to call off tonight’s concert in Amsterdam at the Johan Cruijff Arena, following Mick Jagger testing positive after experiencing symptoms of Covid upon arrival at the stadium,” said a statement on behalf of the band.
“The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry for tonight’s postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians, and the touring crew has to take priority.”
Sir Mick also issued an apology to fans for the cancellation of his show.
“I’m so sorry that we’ve had to postpone the Amsterdam show with such short notice tonight,” said Sir Mick in a tweet. “I have unfortunately just tested positive for Covid. We aim to reschedule the date ASAP and get back as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Mick.”
Two dates are scheduled in the UK as part of a music festival called BST Hyde Park. The Stones are supposed to perform on June 25 and July 2. Another two performances are set in Switzerland and Italy within the following days.
No announcement about the rescheduling or postponing other tour dates has been made yet.
