The 94th Annual Academy Awards on March 27 will be hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes, according to reports.
It has been over three decades since three people have hosted the Oscars and this marks the first time three women have been installed in the emcee position in only one evening.
It was first reported last week that there would be that many hosts of the event, with Will Packer and Glenn Weiss as producer and director, respectively. Another confirmation says that the hosts will take turns during different hours in anchoring the show, and Schumer will conclude the event.
On Tuesday morning, the announcement of the three being hosts will be formally delivered on “Good Morning America.” Schumer and Sykes both have involvements with Oscar’s broadcasting partner ABC. Schumer appears in “Life & Beth,” soon airing on Hulu, which has the same parent company as ABC, Disney. Sykes has been linked to “Black-ish,” broadcasted on ABC.
