Ryan Gosling is ditching the dark suit for some spray tan and denim.
You can’t take your eyes off of him in this brand new photo from his upcoming film, Barbie – the actor’s eye-popping makeover was on complete showoff.
Warner Bros. released the new image from the highly anticipated production on Wednesday, with the first featuring an even more brightly-colored Robbie in Barbie’s pink car.
The adaptation, directed by Greta Gerwig, features Margot Robbie as the iconic toy character. It is also written by Gerwig alongside her partner and long-time collaborator Noah Baumbach.

The film’s characters are as diverse and colorful as the setting: Gosling, Robbie, America Ferrera, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Simu Liu, and Kate McKinnon.
In a previous interview, Liu talked about his hairless entry to his portrayal, an approach that, according to the looks of the image, was also used by Gosling.
“Waxing has been an education, to say the least,” he said in an interview with The Independent. “It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I have such a newfound admiration for the incredibly brave women who go through this on a monthly basis.”
We don’t know much about the film’s plot and characters, but it looks like there will be more characters from the Barbie collection making a cameo in the film. Barbie will hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
