Bryant Russel Shares Inspiration in His World of Music

Music can connect and inspire us in profound ways, and that is what drives artists like Bryant Russel. Today, he hopes to create a legacy that will continue to inspire others. Bryant Russel is an open format DJ with 15 years of experience in the music and live entertainment industry. He is known as a soulful DJ and acknowledges that there’s an artist in everyone, believing that the body and mind are the instruments used to express one’s purest emotion. Exclusive venues like Jenks Club have trusted him to headline one of the biggest parties on the East Coast, playing for over 5,000 people every weekend. His talent, creativity, and reliability have taken him from beach parties like Jenks to intimate settings in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and yacht parties in Hawaii. In addition, his education, career, and life experience have made him a valuable asset to any event.

He has a personal discipline of dedicating ninety percent of his time and effort to preparing for a solid performance. In addition, his time in teaching, the military, and living from the east to west coasts of the US have given him the ability to adapt to any situation efficiently and promptly.

Bryant is known for being punctual, respectful, enthusiastic, and, most importantly, pouring all of his efforts into every event. For now, the musician is more than happy with the following and relationships he has built throughout the years. He believes that despite our many differences, music can connect people, and he hopes his performances will become a force that would do that for others just as it has for him. Bryant firmly believes in the art of communication and has stated, “Music is a universal language, a language I am more than proficient in.”

The veteran DJ wants people to know they can rely on him to help satisfy that part of their soul when they make the trip to wherever he’s playing. Bryant believes it is impossible for him to DJ without having transitions and song selection make sense in some form or another.

“I refuse to go down a list mindlessly crate to crate. Also, I try to please everyone I can. I watch every single person to see who’s feeling what. It’s a game I play. Even if it’s just one song, make them happy. If they’re not smiling, singing, and or dancing, I’m not doing my job.” The DJ believes that every individual has something to offer this world. He knows what it takes to serve in his highest capacity and preaches that one must invest in oneself to become more valuable to others.

Despite allowing society to influence him over the years, Bryant has been able to build his brand and stay true to what really brings him happiness: a life of service.

He stands out from others because of his strong attributes and innate ability to read a crowd and give the venue exactly what it wants. “Our differences are what drives creativity. I’m looking forward to hearing new aspiring DJs and seeing all of our friends on the dance floor. They are loved and appreciated more than they know,” Bryant Russel said.

Q Sound Recognizes the Power of Music in Uniting People and Hopes to Continue Doing That in a Post-Pandemic World

The pandemic shook the world to its roots, and every part of the world felt its impact, especially the entertainment industry. Artists and musicians were unable to perform for their fans because of the lockdown, and it has taken more than a year of adjustment to arrive at the current post-pandemic world. However, Malaysia-based American musician Q  Sound, also known as Marques Young, is now ready to take full advantage of another opportunity to be before the fans and entertain them.

The former principal trombone has lived in Kuala Lumpur since 2009 and embraced the artistic nature of the city and how much music does to bring the people together. He has a rich experience in composing and performing music across multiple genres like R&B, jazz, hip-hop, classical music, electro, soul and funk music. He has within him raw talent and a music style that has evolved over the years.

On his music journey, he has found ways to make an impact on the growing jazz culture in Southeast Asia. He has performed with bands like Q Sound Band and the Bassment Syndicate and led numerous performances at jazz venues throughout the region. Some of his notable sold-out performances include the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, which was a part of DFP’s Happy Hour Series.

Q Sound spent seven years with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and has used his influence to mentor outstanding young jazz musicians. He was deeply involved with the Jazz Camp at DFP and many other upcoming young Jjzz stars from New York City. This propped him up in the jazz music scene and led to his appointment as artistic director of the Encounter Jazz Program.

As someone who started his music journey at the age of twelve under the direction and tutelage of Gordon Manley, Q Sound has grown and evolved immensely in music art. He was already playing the trombone at the age of sixteen and got into Arkansas Tech University School of Music in 2001, where he studied under Dr. Will Kimball. As a student, he received numerous awards and honors, including an invitation to the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium Solo Competition, where he was awarded first runner-up.

His other accomplishments include the Frank Smith International Trombone Solo Competition, the Eastern Trombone Solo Competition and The International Trombone Association’s Van Haney Orchestral Solo Competition. In addition, he has performed with the American Brass Quintet, New York Philharmonic, and Buffalo Philharmonic in New York. Having received private instruction from jazz greats like Wycliffe Gordon, Steve Turre, Carl Allen, and Ron Blake, Q Sound’s journey has been remarkable over the last few decades.

Armed with all this music experience, Q Sound is committed to delivering wholesome performances that move the crowd and give them a good time outside their homes. It took a pandemic to realize that music is powerful to unite people, and Q Sound plans to commit himself to doing more of that.

Over the next few years, his goal is to fill arenas all over Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia. He also plans to go to the United States to connect with fans and everyone who enjoys his type of music while making a revolution in the entertainment industry to foster unity in the world.

How LAZYRAVE’s Setbacks Helped Shape Its Distinct Sound That Fans Love

The advent of technology has bred a society of impatient people who crave instant gratification. As such, many get easily disappointed when things do not go their way. However, one insightful music group realizes that great things take time. After seven years in the making, the remarkable LAZYRAVE is finally making its make and taking the music scene by storm.

Based in Newcastle, the electronic band is composed of frontman Dan Clark, drummer Ben Kindlan, producer Mark “Clem” Clemmett, and tech engineer Pete Cheyne. With each one bringing their unique expertise to the table, the four gifted individuals have formed a one-of-a-kind group that sets out to redefine and revolutionizes the EDM space.

By combining their individual styles and experiences, the artists ensure that the music they create plays deep into every rave, every afterparty, and every live performance. The members insightfully explained, “We want to create a positive connection with everyone who listens to our music. We don’t stick to a manufactured formula. Instead, we try to blend our music across genres drawing from our collective experiences.”

Because of its distinct and captivating sound, LAZYRAVE has become the talk of the town, playing in the most popular spots across the UK and Europe. However, the band’s journey to stardom was not an easy one.

The group was started by Clem and Dan, who often met at parties and festivals. The pair always talked about collaborating and making tunes together during their encounters. Eventually, in 2015, they finally made their first track, “1up.”

Fondly looking back on the journey, Dan shared, “The fun little electronic track had elements that were ravey like the 303, but it was only 110 bpm and had this laid back lazy kinda feel to it, so we decided it sounded like a lazy rave track, and that was when the name of our new project was birthed, LAZYRAVE.”

Yet despite already making excellent progress, making music had to take a back seat because both members have full-time jobs and can only meet up a couple of times every month. In 2019, four years after the band’s inception, Benny joined and took on the role of drummer. Pete soon became part of the team as the tech-wizard and synth master. Finally, the group is complete and ready to showcase their talent.

However, just when things were already starting to fall into place, the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the world and affected countless industries, including the live music scene. This initially devastated LAZYRAVE, but the intuitive artists used it as an opportunity to hone their craft better and improve their sound. The setback proved to be an incredible blessing as it gave the members much-need time to write, plot, and plan their next move.

Now that restrictions have eased, LAZYRAVE is in full swing and has captured the attention of music lovers and party-goers. Moreover, the band is making waves for its kinetic, atmospheric, evocative, propulsive, grungy, dreamy, and euphoric sound, a signature trademark that embodies LAZYRAVE’s authentic music.

Indie Band Poems Brings Melancholic Poetry to the Music Industry

The coming together of talents often comes from unpredictable circumstances. An excellent example is how fate had played its part when Zae Howell attended a party in a small suburb of Seattle, Washington. In what can be described as a serendipitous moment, the sound engineer accidentally overheard the early stages of what is now known as the project “Poems” by Philip Ernest and Cody Dodd.

Originally the brainchild of guitarist and vocalist Philip Ernest, Poems started out as a Notes app side project. Philip’s stripped-down guitar licks and vocal melodies caught bassist Cody Dodd’s attention, and in 2019, Cody decided to work with Philip as a mere weekend hobby.

Zae was undeniably impressed with the two’s melancholic melodies and unique chord progressions that Philip had written throughout his youth. One had even stopped the sound engineer mid-sentence, drawing him to the basement where he heard the band’s first single, “Desdemona,” in its rawest form. At that moment, Zae knew that this was the beginning of something remarkable and that he had to be a part of this journey.

With the talented sound engineer on board, the band started seeing its true potential. Eventually, Poems decided to recruit their friend Grayson Hagopian as their drummer. This further solidified the project their fans and supporters hear today. Through sheer hard work, determination, and love for their craft, Poems was finally able to release their first single, “Desdemona.” Aptly named after the Venetian beauty of the Shakespearean tragedy Othello, the song is about romanticizing the harder parts of a true love story. The band’s magnum opus was a huge hit. After gaining traction with their release, Poems went on to perform in many venues around the greater Seattle area. In pursuit of their dreams, Poems made the difficult choice of moving from Washington to sunny San Diego, California, where the vibrant market would suit their music more.

Ironically, at the beginning of 2022, the band released their latest single, “She Set The Sun.” The captivating song is a nostalgic story of the struggle of letting go and holding on at the same time and the challenges the decision entails. The track was an immense achievement that further ignited the band’s relentless desire to create more engaging songs.

Now driven by their passion for experimenting and exploring their limitless potential, Poems is ecstatic to be back in the studio where they can broaden their range by discovering innovative sonic elements and melodies. From experimental guitar riffs to haunting lyricism, the band draws inspiration from various projects by other indie alternative groups, such as Hippocampus and New York City’s Interpol. Furthermore, Poems aims to share and achieve emotional freedom through the stories they tell in their songs, a trait that lovers of poetry would appreciate. Merging elements from their favorite bands as inspiration with their authentic creative sound, Poems is determined to make its imprint on the Indie Alternative industry. It’s truly exciting to see where the band ends up in the coming years.

Damon Fletcher on Healing and Entertaining the World through Music

The ability to entertain people and bring joy to them is primarily inborn, but it takes something to activate it. For Damon Fletcher, it took a pandemic and a strong desire to bring happiness to a gloomy world. He released his first video, “Hustle with a Purpose” featuring the Crushboys, in May 2020 and found success as the video amassed over 400,000 views on Youtube. That feat propelled him to do more, and thus, he remained committed to his goal of delivering happiness, joy, and entertainment to the world.

As someone who always had lofty dreams his entire life, getting into the music scene and touching lives was profound for him, and he vowed to keep pursuing everything he could achieve or do for the world as an entertainer. His lifelong goal is to inspire others and channel his creativity into ventures that heal other people. And with his music, he’s doing just that and a little bit more.

As a follow-up to “Hustle with a Purpose,” he released “2 Miles” Featuring the Crushboys” in August 2020, which explores positivity and chasing what one wants in life. With his dream of motivating and helping people still on, Damon Fletcher continued to write music and work on more projects to get his name into as many places as possible. Nine months later, on May 7, 2021, Damon released his third video, “Ready,” featuring Cupid giving props to iconic Pop and R&B singer, Usher. The song reflects on how the world has changed since the pandemic broke out and talks about going full speed ahead with chasing one’s dream. The song drew motivation from Usher’s artistry as Damon sees the singer as one of his biggest inspirations in the music world. He even attended one of Usher’s masterclasses to learn directly from him and his musical journey.

“Ready” was a hit he needed as it earned him recognition from some great musicians such as Ne-Yo while also getting massive airplay from radio stations and DJs. While Damon has been working very hard over the past year, he’s still learning and watching how great musicians before him achieved success.

Currently, he’s gearing up to win a trip to meet Usher in Vegas for a VIP concert experience where he hopes to gain new insights as an artist and performer.

Over the next few years, he sees himself becoming a successful recording artist with multiple Grammy awards and an influence strong enough to help upcoming artists get a start in their careers. Even though his music already communicates the importance of believing in oneself and pursuing one’s dreams relentlessly, he still wants people to read his story and be inspired. “I want my audience and fans to be encouraged and believe that they can do it too. Everyone has something inside them that makes them unique. They just need to reach within and find out what makes them tick.

HARRISON CHIMZIM ANOKWURU: THE EXPONENT OF AFROBEAT MUSIC

The music industry is always getting enriched by young singers who are coming up with fresh ideas, tunes and lyrics. Every year, new artists are born. They present the world with innovative and meaningful music.

Chyzzi is one among them. He is a young Nigerian singer who propagated Afrobeat music. Afrobeat music has its roots in African culture and tradition.

THE SECRET BEHIND THE NAME CHYZZI

Chyzzi was born in Port Harcourt whose name was Harrison Chimzim Anokwuru at the time of his birth. He once told a reporter the secret behind his name Chyzzi. His friends called him Chyzzi during his growing years. It was a popular slang during those days. Chyzzi means Declaration of a Sovereign Presence( God Dey).

Chyzzi did his schooling in Nigeria and Ghana. Music was his passion but had to suppress his desire as he was being raised in a strict Christian home where he had to participate in the church choir and never got an opportunity to curate his music. But such situations became better when he left Nigeria. After moving out of Nigeria things began to change. He got freedom and the opportunity to study art and learn how to record through various recording apps. He saved money to set up a studio so that he can practice as much as he can.

HIS ACHIEVEMENTS

He achieved huge success within a short span. His accomplishments are:

His first single album ” Paranoid ” was released in 2017 along with his label mate.

After his debut in 2017, which became a chart-topper, he released another solo debut single named ” Bomb”.

Following this came “Approve”, which is a sophomore single featuring popular Nigerian artiste Ceeza Milli. This also received robust appreciation and was a chartbuster for weeks. Chyzzi says that this track solidified his ground as a conscious artist.

In 2020, his third single album ” Owo Ti De” was released, which headed towards his EP premier.

His latest release was a street anthem. It received a voluminous response and it ushered a message for the youth to save money and leverage legal ways to create wealth. Chuzzi’s songs are inspirational and are relatable to my music lovers.

CHYZZI’S VIEW ON AFROBEAT MUSIC

Chyzzi describes himself as an exponent of good, meaningful music. He inspired and encouraged Nigerian music to tune into original music and to emphasize Afrobeat music.

He says, Nigeria is blessed with musically sound people and they are the forerunners of Afrobeat music. Nigerians presented the world with the knowledge of Nigerian music, which the world was ignorant of and was at sleep.

But in recent times, he feels happy to see the popularity of Afrobeat music. It is spreading like wildfire and people are accepting and acknowledging it wholeheartedly. He says, the endeavour uniting the Nigerian music artists, and they should support each other.

HIS SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

His father was his source of inspiration, though he never got any chance to succeed or perform professionally. He was very talented and could create good, melodious songs.

Apart from his father, he grew up listening to the songs of different musicians and varieties of sounds.

Rising from Utah, This Is MVDNESS

When it comes to Utah, who would have thought the last state you think of for nightlife would have an absolute star rising behind the decks? Putting Utah on the map and climbing the ladder all across the West Coast, selling out clubs almost four times a week consistently, playing shows for crowds pushing 9,000, and playing with names such as James Hype; GMs, booking agents, artists, fans, everyone’s raving about ‘the kid from Utah’

Roll out the red carpet and allow us to introduce MVDNESS, a soon-to-be industry name (and don’t say we didn’t tell you).

MVDNESS (Mitch Gogan) is a Utah native born and raised in Heber City, Utah. Having come from a very musically inclined family, MVDNESS played drumline growing up and learned his love for music. Starting at the age of 13, he got a little Numark controller, set up a camera in his room, and filmed his transitions as he learned his sound at a very young age. The real OGs know him as DJ M-GO at an early age. Dedication led him to host his own events and land gigs starting at the age of 15. Not only was he playing live at that age, but he was also learning and developing in the studio, eventually turning him into a force to be reckoned with in production.

Over ten years later, the grind never stopped for MVDNESS, announcing his professional national debut nearly two years ago. Indeed, the rate MVDNESS has been growing is insane and cannot be ignored by fans and industry players. Due to this rapid growth and following, MVDNESS and his team have finally decided to put together an EP as a brand new fresh project showing the true raw power of MVDNESS and wiping the slate clean. There is no looking back for MVDNESS, we are unbelievably excited to see the kid from Utah at festivals and clubs all around the nation as he continues to absolutely explode. If you get the chance to see a live show, get yourself ready. Until the release of his long-awaited EP, this is the only place where you will hear the gold he makes in the studio. MVDNESS is here to stay, and he is getting bigger and bigger every day. We are excited about this direction and the clean slate his team is pushing forward. His music simply is going to be the cherry on top.

We asked MVDNESS what’s next, and he simply replied, “At this point, I’m here to make a statement in the EDM world, playing open format growing up, I have nailed it, but now it’s time to show you what I really have fun with and that’s the genre such as jersey club, big room house, [and] trap to name a few. I have a clean slate to play with now, and I have never been more excited.” He also explains, “I love being from Utah…you guys have no idea the hidden talent here… raw and untouched, we are grinding in such a unique way it’s hard not to pay attention. I back the Utah artists besides me; names such as Silent Reign, my good friend, are also blowing up and so many more. It is our job to let people know who we are… I’m forever grateful for my followers, family, team, club owners, GMs, booking agents etc… for believing in me.”

MVDNESS can’t help but feel immense gratitude towards everyone’s support and faith in him. “It’s hard not to get emotional,” he shares. “My team and I are here to make a statement and I simply could not do it without you all. I promise to bring the energy to every show and I am putting work every single day in the studio. I am so excited to finally share everything being worked on behind the scenes,” he shares.

His (soon to be up for pre save) EP is called “EMOTIONS” to allude to every track packed with raw and genuine emotions that MVDNESS has felt throughout this whole journey. “We wanted to do something completely unique with this first release… our jaws drop in the studio with some of these tracks and I am absolutely stoked to see peoples faces when they get to hear it for themselves. We are just getting started,” he says. “This is absolute MVDNESS!”

Look to pre-save MVDNESS EP “Emotions” on all platforms soon. Follow MVDNESS on Instagram to stay up to date @MVDNESSMVSIC. For booking and business inquiries, email at mvdnessmgmt@gmail.com.

Emerging Artist Shawn2Hot on His Relentless Drive, Distinctive Artistry, and Upcoming Album

Undeniably, skills and talents both play a significant role in catapulting artists to the summits of success. However, in a highly saturated industry such as the music scene, having these abilities and gifts is not enough to truly make a mark. At the end of the day, the only thing that can distinguish a musician from the others is their deep-rooted passion for their respective crafts. In the case of emerging artist Shawn2Hot, it is shown that anything is possible for those who choose to be relentless with their pursuits.

On a mission to share his music with the world, Shawn2Hot taps into his creative flair while demonstrating an incredible sense of authenticity and originality. As someone who has always been passionate about his craft, he made it his lifelong goal to elevate the hip-hop scene and show how much of an impact his distinctive artistry can make. Today, he proves to be one of the must-watch artists in the hip-hop arena.

Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Shawn2Hot migrated to the United States when he was sixteen years old. Growing up, he listened to oldies, reggae, alternative, and rock music. However, no other genre made him feel the way hip-hop did. According to the artist, his introduction to hip-hop music was Snoop Dog’s Doggystyle album. Since then, his life has never been the same.

At the age of ten, Shawn2Hot started to write poems that eventually turned into songs. When he was seventeen, he began to make beats and dabbled in the world of audio production. This skill would help him kick off his music career, particularly in producing tracks, formulating melodies, and writing music without any professional training. The artist describes his style as thinking outside the box. His struggles of being in a poverty-ridden environment and exposure to violence as a child play a part in his gritty writing style and battle rap flow.

The first single that Shawn2Hot released was “Can’t Hold Me,” which was followed by his second single, “Lust.” The latter created a buzz in the underground hip-hop scene, currently reaching over a hundred thousand streams. The artist’s third single, “Into You,” was aired on Power105 together with his 6th single, “Right Now.”

Aside from creating significant waves with his music, Shawn2Hot is also known for being the brilliant mind behind Volcano Music Group, an up-and-coming record label that is set to revolutionize the industry. In an interview, the artist shared how he was able to come up with the idea of starting his very own company.

“Sitting around while waiting for a major label to pick my work up seemed like a pipe dream. I needed to take control of the situation,” Shawn2Hot revealed. “I then ran an online beat store which went under the name of Volcano Music. At that time, the motivation, vision, and resources were all accessible. I eventually decided to convert the beat store into a record label to be able to release my music.”

Shawn2Hot’s album, Volcano Music Vol. 1, is scheduled to be released on May 27th with features from StephG, Sabrina Foxx, Adrian Roxstar, Busta Rhymes, and many others. His versatility, creativity, and love for music will make this upcoming album a game-changer for his record label as well as the hip-hop culture in general. So much has gone into the making and publicity surrounding this release, and the artist could not be any prouder of launching the album independently.

Moving Forward with Passion, The Story of Crowd Controlol

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” – Oprah Winfrey

Rightfully quoted by Winfrey, passion is that one thing that makes one step out of their comfort zone and makes them put their best foot forward. It makes one do wonders and helps one achieve the goals that they have set for themselves. One such story is of Crowd Controlol, a man who did not let anything or anyone come in the way of becoming a top music producer. His smooth and interesting story of reaching heights is inspirational for all those aiming to enter the world of music.

Getting into the music industry is not an easy task. Thousands of people daily shoot their shots to have a chance in the music industry but fail to do so. Fortunately, Crowd Controlol has managed to do that with his consistent hard work. His relation with music goes back to when he was a child; he says in an interview, “My journey began with a violin at the age of 5 through a Japanese training philosophy called Suzuki. This method enforces the idea that musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability that can be learned by anyone. Just as children learn their mother tongue, they can learn the ability to communicate with an instrument. It was by no means easy and took perseverance. But somewhere around ten years into training, I developed that ability to play any melody in my head.  I still play often, as this background is obviously a large contributor to my music-making process.

Crowd Controlol debuted in 2011 with his EP Lolwut, which turned out to be a big number as he was just a beginner. Having his first professional debut received, such a great response was overwhelming and, at the same, boosted his confidence. Crowd Controlol was motivated to produce more great music. His genre is the finer minimal and tech elements of electronic music, which is usually categorized as dance music and requires a refined taste and understanding to be created. His epic musical mixes and dance numbers garnered attention from artists worldwide. During his early phase, his debut music was played by top performers such as Stefano Noferini and Nicole Moudaber. His DJ sets were unique and magical that put people in a trance and often made the audience chant “One More Track“!

Crowd Controlol’s back-to-back releases and hits were proof that he was here to stay and rule. Just a few years in the industry, and he had already had his music on record labels such as Draft LTD, Baile Musik White, Innocent Music, Beatdown Music, Ritmik Records, Patent Skillz, and SK Supreme Records. During his time in Miami, the young talent played his magic at a bimonthly party known as “One Night in Miami” at Club Space and had become a popular name in that region. The reason his music stood out from the rest is that he loved experimenting and taking unconventional soundscapes. He drives his inspiration from classical and ambient music and fuses them into a cinematic type of electronic music.

Talent paved the way for Crowd Controlol. His ever-growing fondness for music and love for electronic dance mixes has kept him going and made him produce the best. Ever since he began, he has toured a ton of places and played his tunes in almost all cities of Europe, Ibiza, the party capital, being his favorite. He joined forces with Richie Hawtin and the ENTER and worked a total of three seasons with ENTER in Ibiza. His relationship with ENTER bloomed, and it went beyond work, which ended up landing him an invitation at CNTRL 2.0 tour, an educational initiative that sprung throughout college campuses in North America. Here, Crowd Controlol had the opportunity to play with popular artists such as Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Matador, Victor Calderone, and many more.  Over the years, his experience to develop new tracks and play with different personalities has groomed his personality and made him a mentor and senior profile for many. He is a committed and focused individual who does not compromise when it comes to working and always believes in creating something out-of-the-box. He is always hustling and trying to create a tune for his fans. He says in an interview, “My last release was a collaborative EP with Ukulore incoming on one of my favorite minimal labels, Whoyostro. They’re based in Ukraine. I’ve been downloading and playing tracks from them for a while, so it’s exciting to be released on their imprint. The EP is titled “Fantasies,” as each track explores a different interpretation of a classic fantasy concept with some enchanting vocals from Lorena. Yes, it is house and techno music! I believe it’s some of my best work, and I can’t wait to share it. There is a remixer on board that we’re really excited about.”

We wish Crowd Controlol all the best for his latest release and hope it is as good as the previous ones!

Cheers!
