Mark Albertson was not always an author or novelist and worked as a radioman in the U.S. Navy in the 1970s after graduating from high school. Albertson completed his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Texas, San Antonio, in 1982. He attended the St. Mary’s University School of Law to complete his Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 1987. Albertson also worked as a staff sergeant at the Texas Air National Guard from 1984 to 1987 while studying for his Juris Doctor degree.
