In the picturesque heart of South Carolina, where Myrtle Beach’s pristine shores meet the historic charm of Charleston, resides a rising musical talent known as DJ Apollo. Hailing from the serene town of Georgetown, DJ Apollo is a versatile artist, mastering the art of DJing, producing, rapping, and singing.
Apollo’s journey into the world of music commenced in the sixth grade when he first picked up the drumsticks. His early years were dedicated to perfecting his drumming skills, laying the foundation for his deep appreciation of rhythm and percussion. However, it was in the eleventh grade that he ventured into beatmaking. Armed with just a keyboard, he embarked on a self-taught musical odyssey that led him to invest in a computer and professional production software, elevating the quality of his beats.
His passion for music found its home in various ensembles and bands, beginning from the sixth grade and continuing throughout his college years. Remarkably, his exceptional talent earned him a scholarship to South Carolina State University, both for his drumming prowess and contributions to the marching band.
Although music didn’t run deep in his family, Apollo found inspiration in an older cousin who happened to be a DJ, DJ Double A. This cousin’s influence, combined with their shared love for drumming, ignited Apollo’s musical journey. His musical palette was further enriched by artists and labels like Bad Boy, Cash Money, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z.

In 2007, Apollo joined forces with fellow college brothers who shared his passion for music. Together, they embarked on a creative journey, crafting beats that resonated with audiences. This collaboration bore fruit as they performed at various campus events, solidifying their reputation and making a name for themselves. Notably, they even organized their own concert in collaboration with the music department, a tradition that endures and has become an integral part of the music department’s final exams.
Currently, DJ Apollo is making waves with his latest track, “Do It Again.” This soulful R&B gem radiates positivity, making it an ideal choice for sharing with family and friends.
Apollo’s creative journey includes collaborations with talented artists, notably Brianna Brooks, who has added her unique touch to their musical endeavors.

In 2022 and 2023, DJ Apollo reached new heights by serving as the official tour DJ for Marcus Allen, performing at a multitude of shows. This experience broadened his horizons, allowing him to connect with fans on a larger scale and further amplify his musical influence.
Beyond music, DJ Apollo has ventured into entrepreneurship with the launch of his own tequila brand, Apollo Dezol, showcasing his multifaceted approach to life and artistry.
As he looks ahead, DJ Apollo is diligently working on a follow-up to “Do It Again” entitled “Feel Me,” marking his foray into the world of R&B. In his words, “I’m doing my R&B thing right now, I’m singing to the ladies right now.” With an unwavering dedication to music, a penchant for collaboration, and an entrepreneurial spirit, DJ Apollo is undoubtedly a rising star in the world of music and beyond, adding a touch of musical magic to South Carolina’s vibrant cultural landscape.
