Former Saving Abel Lead Singer Scotty Austin Releases New Single “Money” on Black Friday

Rising independent rock star Scotty Austin drops new single “Money” on Black Friday 2022. Produced by multi-platinum producer Malcolm Springer at the House of Blues Studio in Nashville, TN, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, the truth-telling, society-focused single is set to create a massive impact in the industry. “Money” was released by Stryker Records and will be distributed by Ingrooves, a Universal Music Group company pioneering in music distribution, marketing, and technology renowned for assisting labels and business owners in growing their enterprises and making their marks in the music industry.

Scotty Austin is not the usual rock artist. He has thrilled thousands of audiences in over 30 states on tour. His single, “Rebel Yell,” landed #23 on the Billboard charts and #13 on the foundation charts. The artist has performed in massive events, from big biker rallies like Thunder on the Hill to do a good cause in charity events. Scotty Austin is rocking the world in his own right, all while being a loving father to his two-year-old daughter and amazing autistic son.

The rock star expresses his soul and emotions as raw as possible in his music. As the former lead singer of Saving Abel, he has earned his right as one of the most promising names in the industry today. Known for his distinct sound paired with his unrivaled work ethic, he has launched hits loved by listeners worldwide and even created celebrated video game soundtracks, including creating scores for Dead Rising with the band Supernova Syndicate.

Scotty Austin has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ash Bowers and Jason Aldean’s Broken Bow Records and Stoney Creek Records. He has worked on guitar sessions with musicians from Nashville and eventually became the band leader for the singer-songwriter Jonathan Singleton. He also played lead guitar in Full Devil Jacket for the band’s second album. In addition, the rock star represented Memphis, Tennessee and bagged fourth place in the International Blues Contest during the early 2000s.

Asked what fueled his desire to create “Money,” the artist shared that it speaks of his sentiments and thoughts on how money works and is allocated by society, more so by those in power. “It’s tongue and cheek; it’s about making fun of the greed in society right now. Big spending by our politicians…like there’s endless money. I pay taxes! It should go to more important things like mental health, drug addiction, and other issues. It’s how I see society right now,” Scotty Austin said.

A multi-instrumentalist who played his first instrument in kindergarten, Scotty Austin aims to use his talent to amplify the need for artists to play an active role in changing the world and empowering individuals to break glass ceilings and challenge norms that serve selfish interests. The artist has played across the United States and Europe, broadening his vast perspective in composing music. Upon his return to the spotlight after the split of Saving Abel a little over a year ago, the rock star never stopped pursuing his passion for music, providing audiences with unmatched artistry and songwriting.
