Get to Know NRBARZ: His Life Story, Musical Journey, and Expression Of The Art

The Bahamian born Ricardo Neeley better known as the recording artist NRBARZ has been making a positive statement  with his brand of hip-hop while on the come up with such a level of consistency whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes. He has garnered a growing recognition overseas with the release of his recent album T.S.I.R (The Struggle Is Real), a compilation of 10 tracks featuring collaborations with notable artists such as NevandriaLyriic, Sketch, Philocypha, and Solo. Known for his distinguished composition skills influenced by the surrounding happenings, NRBARZ is an actor, poet, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and lyricist, involved in the industry publicly since 2003.

NRBARZ began to explore his musical talents at a young age and credits his interest as being highly influenced by his mother. One of his first notable musical accomplishments was joining the band United, which led to a collaboration with FAM Records and a spot on the compilation album DA FAM- “We Are Family.” As soon as the band broke up, NRBARZ began his solo career under the former stage names Barz Noble & Noble Barz respectively..

NRBARZ began his career as an indie music artist by working on several compilation projects under the label Dunamus Soundz records, such as “The New Breed” and “The Dunamus Ball.” under the moniker Delyricks. It is said that with his music and instruments, he tells a story that anybody can identify with. Hip-hop, rap, electronic, and even pop are all represented in his music. He’s been steadily churning out attractive tunes in various styles for quite some time now.

The year 2013 marked the publication of NRBARZ’s debut album under his former moniker Barz Noble, “Symphonic Signatures,” produced by fellow Bahamian  music producer & engineer Zoltan Johnson.  The album was successful in garnering six nominations from the Caribbean Gospel Music Awards and received national  acclaim through various media channels and news publications alike. Since then, NRBARZ has continued to record and released the follow up full length to “Symphonic Signatures “ entitled S.C.O.A.P (Soul Chapters Of A Poetic), which is  produced by another Bahamian born producer and multi-instrumentalist Hashaun Adderley with co-production duties from Zoltan Johnson, Todd Marshall, including NRBARZ’s recent release, T.S.I.R (The Struggle Is Real) LP  produced by Hashaun Adderley with feature production from also the aforementioned  including additional production by Ejay Sargent , Gerald “PC” Bain, & Christopher “Sketch” Carey respectively. Through the album, the artists offer ten seamless melodic blends, including “Can I,” “The Struggle is Real,” “Life By The Stage,” “Sumthn,” “Around The Blend,” “Beatin Up Your Gum”, “Struttin,” “Let It Go,” “More Than Just Before,” and “Face To Face.” The album speaks to the universality of human experience by describing the myriad of hardships we all face.

Born in the Bahamas on the Island of New Providence, NRBARZ was raised by his single mother and had a both humble and fruitful childhood as he would describe it. He grew up in Nassau, Bahamas listening with  to musical compositions by renowned artists such as the T-Connection, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Ray Goodman, to the likes of Black Star, Common,Grits, Cross Movement, Deepspace 5 & Tunnel Rats on the hip-hop side of things. He graduated from the University of Bahamas, formerly the College of the Bahamas.
