Interviewer: Today, we have the privilege of speaking with Ming Zhou, a distinguished Chinese artist making significant contributions to New York’s cultural scene. Ming, thank you for joining us. Could you start by telling us about your background and how you came to be involved in the arts?

Ming Zhou: Thank you for having me. I was born and educated in China, where I attended the Central Academy of Drama, specializing in broadcasting and hosting. After that, I pursued a master’s degree in event management at New York University, which helped me combine my passion for the arts with practical skills in event planning. This journey has allowed me to play a pivotal role in cultural exchanges between China and the United States.

Interviewer: As the co-founder and artistic director of All Stars Media Planning Inc., how have you been able to influence cultural exchanges between these two countries?

Ming Zhou: Our focus at All Stars Media Planning Inc. is to create events that entertain and foster understanding and appreciation between diverse cultures. We aim to curate content that resonates with both Chinese and international audiences. Through our events, we promote dialogue and mutual respect, which are essential for cultural enrichment.

Interviewer: You’ve been involved in several high-profile events. Could you share some highlights from your career?

Ming Zhou: Certainly. I’ve had the honor of hosting events like the 2023 Global Talent Show and the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the U.S. Additionally, the 2024 Lunar New Year celebrations at venues such as Manhattan Town Hall and Queens Theatre have been remarkable. These experiences have showcased my ability to engage audiences and manage large-scale events.

Interviewer: Your portfolio is quite diverse. Can you tell us about some of the innovative shows you’ve produced?

Ming Zhou: I’ve been involved in managing events such as the Miss Chinese Beauty Pageant and the Let the World Savor China Global Tour. The New York Star Bright series and the 2024 Lunar New Year Gala – Opera Night are also highlights. Each event is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring an unforgettable experience for attendees.

Interviewer: Beyond event management, you strongly commit to community service. How do you incorporate this into your work?

Ming Zhou: Community service and cultural education are close to my heart. I regularly host and participate in community events like the American-Chinese business associations’ anniversaries and cultural festivals. These initiatives aim to educate younger generations about cultural heritage and the arts, helping them foster a sense of identity and pride.

Interviewer: Your contributions have been recognized with several awards. What do these accolades mean to you?

Ming Zhou: Awards like the “Outstanding New Host Award” from Time for Chinese Outstanding People of the Year 2022 are truly an honor. They reflect the impact of my work in promoting international cultural exchanges and highlight my role as a bridge between East and West.

Interviewer: As you continue to innovate and lead in the art and cultural sector, what are your future aspirations?

Ming Zhou: I am committed to using the arts as a medium for change, promoting understanding and cooperation between diverse communities. My goal is to continue creating events that bring people together through shared cultural experiences, enriching the global arts landscape.
