Rico Gotti’s We Won’t Fold Entertainment, a Brand Worth Emulating

There’s a more significant privilege and calling than making it big in any industry: to be a catalyst of success for others that follow your trail. And brands like We Won’t Fold Entertainment by rising artist Rico Gotti is the perfect example of companies that put that goal front and center.

“I love teaching other artists everything that I know and currently learning about the music industry so that they are better prepared.” That’s what We Won’t Fold founder Rico had to say about his motives for growing his brand over the past half a decade. While the rapper will be the first to admit that he doesn’t know everything yet, he’s never held a secret in his life. He doesn’t intend to as he continues to learn more about what makes a music brand grow in the ever-rising sea of art and expression in the music industry.

We Won’t Fold Entertainment is a music label company started by Pharles Davis, better known by his rap name Rico Gotti. Rico understands aspiring musicians’ struggles, desires, and dreams as an artist, songwriter, and entertainer himself. Accordingly, he’s used that common ground to create a culture of support and collaboration in what can only be described as the “no man’s land” of music entertainment.

Nowadays, it seems impractical to carry others on your shoulders when on your way up to the top. But for Rico Gotti, that is the calling and objective. “I want to help people within my community, and I want to provide opportunities for those around me, so everyone succeeds,” shares the rapper on a mission. “My music career is a gateway to help others as well.” Using his platform as a shared stage, he has been more than happy to take other musicians under his wing and give them access to the same knowledge, connections, and resources he has to make it in the rap scene.

Pharles Davis first entered the music scene professionally back in 2016 after years of investing time, treasure, and energy into building his music brand. In 2019, he released his first track, which appeared on the mixtape IONHAVETIME alongside musician and artist B Jordan. Rico Gotti is the culmination of years of formulation and conceptualization.

The artist looked to music icons like Master P, Jay-Z, and Birdman growing up and hoped to reach their success levels one day. The result would be a whole discography that proves that Rico deserves a place in the annals of rap greats, including “I Come From,” “Demi God,” “Whatever It Take,” “Can’t Play Both Sides,” “Basic,” and many others.

Apart from a desire to follow in his idols’ music success, he also hopes to emulate their entrepreneurial ones. Rico Gotti’s biggest dream is to turn We Won’t Fold Entertainment into a community that supports local musicians and gives them a chance to share their passion and art with the world without going through the headaches and heartaches that Rico experiences in the beginning.

Despite all that he has achieved, Rico Gotti remains humble and authentic, sharing that he is very much the same person he was five years ago and will not change in the many more years to come despite his trajectory towards music success.
