Singer and Songwriter Amanda Rakel Move People by the Flair of Her Pop and EDM

The pop and EDM genres aren’t without their fair share of competition. As the categories get crowded, artist Amanda Rakel has still been able to shine. Accordingly, she has become a strong force in her respect and has built a strong image and music base that continues to attract audiences and fans worldwide.

Amanda Rakel is a brilliant Danish-Swedish singer-songwriter with a flair for pop-EDM. Amanda launched her first single, Sweet Tongues, in September 2015. Sony Music Denmark noticed the song right away and reached out to Amanda to work out a deal. The event spurred Amanda to compose, create and launch more music, not just for labels but more for the people who would enjoy them.

That particular experience became the first step for Amanda when she recorded and released numerous songs. And now, she continues her passion for channeling her life experiences into composing heartfelt lyrics coming up with tunes and melodies. Amanda was born in Germany before her family settled in Switzerland. She and her siblings came to an international school with a comprehensive music program. Amazingly, all three kids auditioned for the choir and got into the team. The school also had a regular Friday event for middle schoolers. During this time, the school did not have a high school meet-up. Amanda cultivated her skills in piano outside of school, and in the music program, she tried the cello and guitar but did not take a liking to any. It would be years before she discovered that her talent lay in writing lyrics and singing.

Amanda’s mother was one of the most influential people in her life. The mother of the promising artist always sang with her, her older sister and younger brother. ABBA, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, and Michael Jackson would be sung along when driving the kids to and from school. Amanda’s second car accident came at the age of four and is attributed to headbanging to Michael Jackson’s Earth Song on the backseat of the car. Unfortunately, she had released her seatbelt, so Amanda proceeded to fly headfirst into the radio when her mum hit the brakes. She thankfully escaped with just a bloody nose. Unfortunately, the life-threatening accident interrupted her bachelor’s studies in London. So she attended a university in Staten Island after her recovery. Sadly, things didn’t go quite as planned, so she left the university after two years.

Having a powerful feeling that she had nothing to lose, she went public with her songwriting skills. Amanda decided to finish her bachelor’s degree online. She then moved to Copenhagen, where she started pursuing her music career. Since November 2015, she’s worked with her long-term co-writer Mette Damm.

In 2021, Amanda’s track entitled Higher Ground would make waves across music circles. She worked with multi-grammy nominated artist Boom Dice to bring the track to life. Amanda’s co-creator is best known for working with artists like Florence + The Machine, Disclosure, Stormzy, and Sofi Tukker. Some of her other tracks include songs like I Tried, Magnetic, I Don’t Wanna Dance, and many others.

Amanda Rakel hopes to continue collaborating with other artists and releasing new material that will inspire and entertain listeners worldwide.

Currently, Amanda is working on several new projects involving The FifthGuys and Grammy Nominated Producer, Stonebridge.  Slated for release later this summer, expect to be moved by more intense vocals surrounded by uplifting production, bringing to life the soul of this talented artist.
