The Hartly Changes the Night Life Game as It Nestles in the Heart of King West, Toronto

The Hartly is a variety theatre, restaurant, bar, and lounge rolled into one—a daring fusion made possible by Josh Herman, Reza Abedi, and Sam Reznick; partners of many renowned nightlife establishments like Daisy, Lobby etc. Sitting in the heart of King West, Toronto, Canada, The Hartly boasts of a great culinary experience, as well as a booming entertainment scene.

The lounge exudes a sexy and moody vibe and is home to a variety of unique and outstanding fusion dishes created by executive chef Daniel Ken. Ken worked for Blowfish and Lavelle before joining the team at The Hartly, where he presents a number of his finest creations. His culinary journey started in Brazil, which heavily inspired the Latin aspect of his dishes, before being presented to work in Germany and Japan, with the latter being his primary focus. At the helm of The Hartly’s kitchen, Ken provides an exceptional culinary experience for patrons with his Latin and Japanese fusion dishes.

Aside from the impressive culinary matter, the three men who founded this place are no slackers themselves, considering they are not new to the nightlife business. Josh Herman a manager for several DJs and multi-platinum producers before partnering with Sam Reznick in 2017 to open up a club called Liar, Liar that won Night Club of the Year from Notable Awards. In September 2019, they opened Daisy in Toronto, an upscale cocktail lounge that turns into a table service hotspot in the evenings, which still opens its doors up to this day. Both Herman and Reznick plan to expand their horizons in the hospitality industry and engage in more projects for more years to come.

Besides the two, Reza Abedi is also a dynamite addition to the team; he grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Toronto in 2000 to study Economics and Finance at Ryerson University. In 2004, he launched his own business, which focused on events management, called Something & Monroe. His deep passion for the arts, good music and people propelled him to open multiple successful venues, including Lobby, Lavelle, Wildflower, and more.

With Herman, Abedi, and Reznick at the forefront of this business, The Hartly is on solid footing. Expect delicious cocktails, tasty food, enchanting performances, and most definitely, great company. The Hartly sits at 619 King St W. Toronto, ON, M5V 1M5.
