G6x7 Presents Gal Fridman at Art Miami 2026

Women in motion connect historical imagery with layered materials, light, and physical space.

G6x7 will present Gal Fridman at Art Miami 2026, December 1-6 at One Herald Plaza in Miami. The presentation brings together images of women acting within familiar stories and historical settings: a princess leaps over a glass coffin, a cyclist races through a monumental cityscape, a boxer confronts the viewer from a domestic kitchen, and a woman balances above a banquet.

Across these scenes, inherited worlds remain recognizable, but the women move through them on their own terms. G6x7 extends that tension into physical space through layered surfaces, light, and depth.

Not Waiting Anymore

In Not Waiting Anymore, the royal interior, dwarfs, and glass coffin preserve the visual language of the fairy tale. What changes is the heroine’s role. Instead of waiting for rescue, she clears the coffin in a powerful leap. It becomes an obstacle rather than a destination.

The story remains visible, but its script is no longer binding.

Speeding Through History

Monumental gates and stone facades frame a woman on a contemporary racing bicycle. Her body is low over the handlebars, focused and aerodynamic, while water breaks beneath the wheels.

Everything in the background suggests permanence; everything about the rider suggests velocity. History is not something she has left behind. It is the world she is moving through, at her own pace and under her own power.

From Image to Object

The physical construction of the G6x7 works adds another dimension to these scenes. Imagery can be printed on brushed aluminum and combined with transparent acrylic layers separated in space. Light, shadows, and the distance between surfaces become part of the composition.

As viewers move, details can align, separate, or emerge. The materials serve the image, turning a fixed view into an encounter that changes with the viewer’s position.

The Fight Enters the Kitchen

Pastel cabinetry, floral details, and warm sunlight evoke a mid-century kitchen. At its center, a boxer raises one glove to guard her face while the other drives toward the viewer.

The contrast places physical power within a space traditionally associated with domestic expectations. Strength and femininity occupy the same frame, challenging the idea that they belong to separate worlds.

Her Own Way

In Her Own Way, a woman balances on one leg above a richly set banquet, extending her arms and her other leg while the figures below continue their conversations and rituals.

Her composure gives the scene a different kind of intensity. Unlike the leap, the race or the punch, this action depends on sustained control. Balance is not a settled condition; it has to be maintained.

Women in Motion

One leaps. One races. One fights. One balances. Each scene holds an action in progress. Together, they suggest freedom as an ongoing act of choosing a direction within a world already shaped by history.
