Damien Curry is stepping into a more visible role within the music scene, bringing forward his own interpretation of electronic sound. “If It Feels Good,” his latest release, offers an invitation to unwind, engage with the rhythm, and enjoy a blend of House music and funk-inspired soundscapes.
Now available on major streaming platforms including Spotify, the track is beginning to generate attention within the dance music community. It reflects Damien’s ongoing shift from working behind the scenes to sharing his personal artistry more openly.
“If It Feels Good”: A Song Shaped by Spontaneity
Many tracks begin with careful planning, but “If It Feels Good” came together through instinct and experimentation. Damien Curry explained that the track nearly didn’t come to life.
“If you listen to the last four bars of the song, it was just that section for about a month. I had just gotten this new Boss OC-5 Pedal and was playing around with it. I came up with that little bass riff, closed the session, and forgot about it. A month later, I opened it back up, started working on it, and a week later, I had the song. It was one of those songs that just happened, no planning, not much thought, just really being right in the moment and listening.”
This kind of process—organic and unstructured—often results in music that feels natural and immersive. Rather than heavily produced or overly polished, “If It Feels Good” leans into a freer form of creativity that some listeners may find more engaging.
Encouraging Expression Through Music
Music often encourages personal expression, and for Damien Curry, “If It Feels Good” explores the idea of giving oneself permission to be present and expressive.
“This song is about not being a boring wall ornament when there’s good music playing. It’s about feeling free to be yourself and allowing yourself to get hypnotized by the soundscapes.”
In an era where people may feel pressure to hold back, the song encourages openness and movement. With its deep grooves, pulsing rhythms, and textured layers, the track aims to create an atmosphere where dance becomes a natural response. It invites listeners into a space where the experience of music is shared, not just heard.
A Career Rooted in Sound
With more than two decades of experience in the music industry, Damien Curry has worked across various genres and platforms. His background includes sound design, music production, and live performance. Over the years, he has contributed to music used in television and worked with professional audio systems. “If It Feels Good” marks a transition in focus—a step into creating and releasing his own material for public audiences.
“This song represents the beginning of what I feel is some of the most personally meaningful work I’ve done creatively,” Damien shared.
Rather than presenting this release as a career peak, Damien frames it as the beginning of a new chapter—one focused on artistic intention and emotional connection.
A Hybrid Performance Style
Damien Curry’s live sets combine electronic beats with live instrumentation, offering a performance approach that blends technology with traditional musicianship. This hybrid style reflects his background in both studio and stage work.
Rather than replicating standard DJ formats, his sets incorporate layers that evolve in real time, guided by his knowledge of sound systems, composition, and improvisation. This dynamic format adds variety and nuance to each live experience, offering something distinct in a space often dominated by uniformity.
Listeners Are Responding
Although the release is still gaining momentum, early feedback from listeners has been positive. Videos shared online show fans reacting with excitement—some visibly moved by the music, others dancing to the rhythm. “If It Feels Good” seems to resonate with those who value atmosphere-driven electronic music.
Listeners are encouraged to experience the track themselves and interpret its impact through their own lens. It is now available to stream on platforms like Spotify.

Moving Forward with Intention
Damien Curry’s work with “If It Feels Good” demonstrates a growing focus on connection and rhythm in his creative process. As he continues releasing music and performing live, this track represents a step toward more direct engagement with audiences and a more personal form of expression.
Rather than positioning the song as a breakthrough or definitive work, Curry presents it as a meaningful entry in an ongoing journey of sound exploration. His deepening presence in the scene comes after years of background work, and this latest release gives listeners a glimpse of where he may be headed next.
