Ekaterina was born on August 27, 1988, in the city of Otradny in the Samara region. She grew up in a family where creativity was an integral part of life — her mother, an artist, instilled in her daughter a love for art and aesthetics. At school, Katya demonstrated outstanding abilities not only in the exact sciences, studying in a strong math class, but also in creativity — she studied violin and piano at an art school, actively participated in competitions, and was recognized as a “talented child” on the city honor board.

Her pursuit of perfection and thirst for knowledge already set Ekaterina apart from her peers. She was an honor student, participated in olympiads, and won prizes. Transitioning to accounting after school was unexpected, but it gave her a solid logical and analytical thinking foundation.

First Steps in Her Career: From Student Newspaper to Television

Ekaterina continued her education at the Otradny Oil Technical School, then enrolled in the Samara Institute of the Russian State University of Economics and Trade, where she studied accounting and auditing. Despite the academic focus of her education, Ekaterina always showed interest in public and creative life. She was the student newspaper editor and the student council chairperson and actively participated in university conferences and events. These leadership and creative thinking skills later helped her create and manage her own business.

After graduating from university, Ekaterina began working in media. She served as an editor and presenter on youth TV channels such as M1 and Terra REN TV. Her work in journalism taught her not only how to communicate with a wide audience but also how to present information in an engaging and accessible way. This experience helped her in the future when establishing a dialogue with clients in her studio.

A New Direction: From Massage to Opening Her Own Studio

Ekaterina Durova’s career in massage began after completing several courses in lymphatic drainage and aesthetic techniques. She immersed herself in the study of health and skin care methods, attending courses and training in Russia, the USA, the UK, and other countries. One key moment in her professional development was the study of buccal massage — an innovative technique that improves appearance and positively impacts the client’s inner state.

Having gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience, Ekaterina opened Katya Young Studios in New York, where she could realize her dream of creating a space where beauty combines with health care. After moving to the USA, Katya continued her development by completing numerous specialized courses and training in aesthetic cosmetology and massage techniques.

Katya does not rest on her laurels and continues to learn by attending master classes around the world, including in France, Singapore, and the USA. This desire for continuous development keeps her at the forefront of the industry.

Personal Life and Hobbies

Ekaterina is passionate about weightlifting, participating in competitions, and earning medals outside of work. Sports help her maintain discipline and determination, which is also reflected in her professional life. Additionally, she enjoys surfing and snowboarding, highlighting her active lifestyle and love for movement.

Katya has not forgotten her childhood passion for music — she continues to play the violin, finding in it a way to relax and express her creativity.
