How Influencer Couple David Murrietta Jr. and Alexandra Creteau Transitioned From Former Careers to Bask in Hollywood’s Spotlight

Switching careers is never easy, but David Murritta Jr. and Alexandra Creteau, known to the world for their Youtube channel, the Dalex Vlogs, have successfully transitioned between industries to reach their dream of inspiring people through Hollywood films. The vlogging duo led different lives before acting behind the camera. Still, despite the change in their lives, the power couple stayed passionate about entertaining people worldwide while simultaneously sharing their journey and experiences to impact lives.

Before finding himself in Hollywood with his wife, David Murrietta Jr. led a meaningful career in law enforcement. “I have degrees in criminal justice and general business, which is as far from acting as you can get. But very early on in my law enforcement career, I suffered a major knee injury. My ACL, MCL, and meniscus needed to be replaced. Ultimately, this injury led to other doors and opportunities,” shared David.

After the incident, David moved to San Francisco, where he first got his hands on acting. Doing a few projects here and there, David fell in love with the entertainment industry and made the move to permanently relocate to Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Alexandra Creteau was a 2x Ukrainian karate-do champion. At 18, she was among the top martial artists of Ukraine. Although she had a rising career in martial arts, Alexandra Creteau felt as if there was more to her than fighting. And so, she fiercely dabbled into the entertainment industry where she met her now-husband, David Murrietta Jr.

David Murrietta Jr. is known for his latest project as the character named Moose in the film Taps, a short film about a grieving father as he narrates his veteran son’s demise after having PTSD. The film made its debut at Studio City Film Festival last November 18. It was warmly welcomed by viewers as it tackles the issue of many veterans having PTSD after their service. The film has been integral in opening up conversations for veterans with PTSD and has encouraged many to let their stories be heard.

Furthermore, David Murrietta Jr. has appeared in various television shows, such as Sunset Glory: Doolittle’s Heros and Grey’s Anatomy. The actor has also worked on several films, including Internal Conflict, Vicious Circle, Underdog, and Land of the Haunted Dolls. David was also one of the stunt performers in Marvel’s Black Widow

On the other hand, Alexandra Creteau is continually making her home country proud through her successful Hollywood projects. She has starred in films and TV series, including American Horror Story (worked as a stand in ), X-Men: New Mutants (worked as a stand in ), Night of the Naked Dead, and, most recently, The Memory Scanner, where she took the lead role. The Memory Scanner is a film featuring a neuroscientist helping to radically change the criminal justice system with an innovative brain scanner. The film is set to release in 2022 but is already generating a buzz in the Hollywood film scene.

At 21, Alexandra Creteau is leading a rapidly-rising career in the entertainment industry. She is also making her way as the author of a mysterious crime novel called Miami Scandal: A Crime International Romance. Alexandra Creteau has also produced and directed her own short film called The Imperfect Seduction.

8corpses Is Redefining the Underground Rap Scene in the US

8corpses is an up-and-coming artist and video editor in the underground rap genre in the US. Over the last few years, he’s been evolving his craft and working with a variety of producers from different countries.

If you’re bored of continuously listening to the same types of raps and hip-hop songs, 8corpses can give you something new to relish and experience.

“I am a retro lover. I am especially fascinated by the songs of the 80s and 90s era. I am heavily influenced by groups such as Cypress Hill and Mobb Deep. Today, what we see is just the repetition of what other artists are doing all around us. However, I always want to give something new to my fans. I want to make my listeners feel rejuvenated after listening to my tracks. Most importantly, if my tracks help someone get something out of it, that would be a personal achievement for me,” 8corpses remarked.

Though 8corpses is quite popular among underground music lovers and his fans, he feels it’s just the beginning. He wishes to achieve a lot of things in his life. Even on most online music streaming channels, he’s already got that blue ‘verified tick’ badge, which establishes his popularity in the underground hip-hop genre. However, he insists that at the end of the day he is human like everyone else and that his art is a two-way street. He doesn’t see his music as a job but more so a means to vent.

Music lovers across diverse age groups, genders, and ethnicities love listening to his tracks because of his transparency. He is humbled to have the following he already has, and hopefully, his popularity will increase more this year as life across the world is gradually returning to normalcy after the devastating pandemic.

8corpses doesn’t stop there. He’s a lyricist that enjoys his art. He feels he’s a slightly old-school rapper but never shies away from adding new and modern musical elements into his work. Once you start listening to his songs, you won’t stop admiring his outstanding creative skills and versatile abilities.

His journey into the music industry wasn’t and hasn’t been easy. After witnessing his father suffocate to death, he battled with addiction, trauma and Schizophrenia. He had no other healthy coping mechanisms at the time, so he decided to start writing. In his childhood days, he loved listening to hip-hop. But, it wasn’t until a few years ago he decided he could put his writing ability to use and start actually making songs of his own.

8corpses had quite a troubled adolescence which he has detailed in past song releases. Unfortunately, he was in and out of various institutions and detention facilities growing up. So stability was never really there. But, one thing that stayed consistent was his love for music. Although he’s had a rough life, he’s making light of his situation now through his own music.

“The music scene is constantly evolving. What you listen to now may not even continue a few years later. For example, metalcore was huge in the mid-2000’s bands would EDM / pop and metal. Now fast forward to the present day, and you see artists have established genres like trap metal. In which there is a clash between the metal genre and hip hop. With the scene constantly shifting, so does the listeners’ expectations. But, I constantly work on my craft and am content in my lyricism that comparing myself to other artists in the underground scene isn’t necessary. The success of an artist at least in hip-hop usually depends on if they literally are hip or not. So, if the lyrics I deliver are even relatable or applicable to that time period, it comes down to that. That’s why I believe there’s no stop to learning in music. The more and more you research, study, and practice, the more and more you evolve as a better artist,” 8corpses explained.

Right now, 8corpses is touching on topics which may seem taboo in many cultures. For example, he explains the pains of mental illness to his audience using his fabulous lyrical abilities. In his songs, you can get to hear a lot about the everyday struggle of mental illness and how that can affect a person’s life. Not only that, as an artist, it’s usually rare for someone to touch on such personal topics, but 8corpses is different. He is bold, courageous, and believes in taking risks. He wants his lyrics to touch upon these topics so his listeners don’t feel alone. He wants people to realize if they’re ever feeling mentally out of control or having outrageous thoughts, that they shouldn’t feel demonized for that, because they aren’t going through it all by themselves. He shared that he will sometimes receive notes and letters from fans stating that he has helped save their lives or helped them through a difficult time. Although it can be overwhelming to read, it has truly humbled him and has given his music even more meaning.
