Moving Forward with Passion, The Story of Crowd Controlol

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” – Oprah Winfrey

Rightfully quoted by Winfrey, passion is that one thing that makes one step out of their comfort zone and makes them put their best foot forward. It makes one do wonders and helps one achieve the goals that they have set for themselves. One such story is of Crowd Controlol, a man who did not let anything or anyone come in the way of becoming a top music producer. His smooth and interesting story of reaching heights is inspirational for all those aiming to enter the world of music.

Getting into the music industry is not an easy task. Thousands of people daily shoot their shots to have a chance in the music industry but fail to do so. Fortunately, Crowd Controlol has managed to do that with his consistent hard work. His relation with music goes back to when he was a child; he says in an interview, “My journey began with a violin at the age of 5 through a Japanese training philosophy called Suzuki. This method enforces the idea that musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability that can be learned by anyone. Just as children learn their mother tongue, they can learn the ability to communicate with an instrument. It was by no means easy and took perseverance. But somewhere around ten years into training, I developed that ability to play any melody in my head.  I still play often, as this background is obviously a large contributor to my music-making process.

Crowd Controlol debuted in 2011 with his EP Lolwut, which turned out to be a big number as he was just a beginner. Having his first professional debut received, such a great response was overwhelming and, at the same, boosted his confidence. Crowd Controlol was motivated to produce more great music. His genre is the finer minimal and tech elements of electronic music, which is usually categorized as dance music and requires a refined taste and understanding to be created. His epic musical mixes and dance numbers garnered attention from artists worldwide. During his early phase, his debut music was played by top performers such as Stefano Noferini and Nicole Moudaber. His DJ sets were unique and magical that put people in a trance and often made the audience chant “One More Track“!

Crowd Controlol’s back-to-back releases and hits were proof that he was here to stay and rule. Just a few years in the industry, and he had already had his music on record labels such as Draft LTD, Baile Musik White, Innocent Music, Beatdown Music, Ritmik Records, Patent Skillz, and SK Supreme Records. During his time in Miami, the young talent played his magic at a bimonthly party known as “One Night in Miami” at Club Space and had become a popular name in that region. The reason his music stood out from the rest is that he loved experimenting and taking unconventional soundscapes. He drives his inspiration from classical and ambient music and fuses them into a cinematic type of electronic music.

Talent paved the way for Crowd Controlol. His ever-growing fondness for music and love for electronic dance mixes has kept him going and made him produce the best. Ever since he began, he has toured a ton of places and played his tunes in almost all cities of Europe, Ibiza, the party capital, being his favorite. He joined forces with Richie Hawtin and the ENTER and worked a total of three seasons with ENTER in Ibiza. His relationship with ENTER bloomed, and it went beyond work, which ended up landing him an invitation at CNTRL 2.0 tour, an educational initiative that sprung throughout college campuses in North America. Here, Crowd Controlol had the opportunity to play with popular artists such as Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Matador, Victor Calderone, and many more.  Over the years, his experience to develop new tracks and play with different personalities has groomed his personality and made him a mentor and senior profile for many. He is a committed and focused individual who does not compromise when it comes to working and always believes in creating something out-of-the-box. He is always hustling and trying to create a tune for his fans. He says in an interview, “My last release was a collaborative EP with Ukulore incoming on one of my favorite minimal labels, Whoyostro. They’re based in Ukraine. I’ve been downloading and playing tracks from them for a while, so it’s exciting to be released on their imprint. The EP is titled “Fantasies,” as each track explores a different interpretation of a classic fantasy concept with some enchanting vocals from Lorena. Yes, it is house and techno music! I believe it’s some of my best work, and I can’t wait to share it. There is a remixer on board that we’re really excited about.”

We wish Crowd Controlol all the best for his latest release and hope it is as good as the previous ones!

Cheers!

Damion Hype Bridging Cultures through His Crossover Music Concept

Music knows no bounds, and artists like Damion Hype understand its universality the most. And while one could take Damon’s music and put it under the Dancehall category, there are many other elements to his songs that exude melodies and aspects of many other genres. Accordingly, the artist is out to challenge cultural divides as he progresses in his music career.

Damion Hype is a singer and songwriter who originally hails from Jamaica. The son of a professional musician, his life revolved around music.

“My dad had a great influence on me as I can remember going to watch him perform at hotels in Jamaica with a band,” shares Damion. “Just the outpouring love from the guests inspired me to become a musician too.” The artist’s calling into music as a career was further confirmed while attending Happy Grove High School, where he would get through everyday beating his desk and creating songs and stringing lyrics in his head during class.

Damion grew up listening to Dancehall and Reggae artists like Bob Marley. After moving to the United States, He would widen his scope and start listening to other genres, especially rap. He would listen to Jamaican rappers like Shaggy, Sean Paul, and Louie Culture, expanding his music and polishing his sound.

After releasing his first single from his home parish of Portland, he flew back to Jamaica to record his second track. While working on the sophomore release, Damion could brush shoulders with his music idol Louie Culture who praised the Dancehall artist for his “unique voice.”

While Dancehall would become the bedrock for the Jamaican artist’s music career, Damion Hype started expanding his sound a bit more.

“I am from Jamaica, and the slangs we used are not always easy to understand; some say it should be a language, but I make the most of my music with the intent that everyone will understand it,” shares Damion Hype. “In some cases, I used order foreign languages in some of my songs, like in my single ‘Tonight’ that has some Spanish, and ‘Baby Boo’ that has some African languages. And I have at least four songs out in a foreign language.” Just recently, Damion released his new single “Secret” as production starts on the visuals so that he can showcase to the world.

Stack Or Starve Sink Or Swim Is Making Its Mark in the Music Scene Under the Leadership of Artist and Entrepreneur Tadashi Monclova, More Famously Known as Hillside Drama

Hillside Drama’s foray into the music scene began at the age of 13. The self-made entrepreneur has been performing at such a young age, displaying his passion for music and performing arts. The talented music artist also started his roots in Queens, New York, which is home to the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame and an apt starting point for the independent record label’s musical journey.

Though that journey wasn’t always smooth from the jump, in a tragic turn of events, Hillside Drama started losing friends and family to street violence and various addictions. He decided to change his life. In spite of all the challenges and the change in environment, music remained to be his salvation, which pushed him, X Dineroo, and their two other brothers to create their independent record label.

The esteemed hip-hop artists and their independent record label have been releasing hit after hit after hit. The man is non-stop. In 2021 alone, Drama and the record label released around 10 singles, including songs like “ZaZa” by Hillside Drama, “On and On” featuring X Dineroo, “Keep On Working” by X Dineroo featuring Hillside Drama, and “Tempting” By X Dineroo , which have been captivating audiences since their debut. Xavier better known as X Dineroo has accumulated over 25,000+ views on his Youtube channel and Hillside Drama has managed to reach his goals charting at 10,000+ followers on Instagram and gaining 20,000+ views on YouTube in just 3 months. This year, they are cooking up yet another set of projects that will take the music industry by surprise. The independent label has already done shows and collaborated with a diverse set of big-name DJs and artists such as Zipemup Kshine, Fred The Godson, and DJ Drewski. On the horizon are upcoming project features from both Fmb Eli and Nikoduh9. X Dineroo and Hillside Drama definitely plan on going big with their new upcoming video release “On and On” and with Hillside Drama’s single releases “ Classy Girl” and “Love Letter” dropping around the 14th of February, Valentines Day.

The advancements in digital technology have opened up a world of opportunities for go-getters from all walks of life—opportunities that have allowed them to translate their personal visions into reality on their own. Aspiring musicians, in particular, are now carving a path toward the forefront of the music and entertainment scene, even without a push from industry giants. However, while it is inarguable that a growing number of artists have found success despite a lack of support from record labels, it’s undeniable that it pays to be under the wing of those well-versed in navigating the complex waters of the industry. Stack or Starve / Sink or Swim is among those that seek to maneuver artists in the right direction.

Stack or Starve / Sink or Swim Entertainment is a purpose-driven company dedicated to providing quality music and content for all fans. Stack or Starve / Sink or Swim Entertainment was founded in 2019 by X Dineroo, Nikoduh9,  FMB Eli and  Tadashi Monclova, also known as Hillside Drama, Since its establishment, it has operated under the recognition that finding a reliable and reputable resource or institution in the music industry, which is known for its cutthroat nature, continues to be a challenge.

“Without the help and partnership of X Dineroo and my other 2 brothers none of this would be possible. When we started to take music seriously as a profession, we began to notice that there weren’t many people or places to go to that would actually teach you the right way to do things,” shared Hillside Drama.

In the years following its launch, Stack or Starve / Sink or Swim has gone all-out in guiding hopefuls and giving them the platform from which they could pursue their craft. Additionally, it has consistently placed a heavy premium on building a connection with fans and listeners, doing so by approaching the creation of music with authenticity and high regard for individuality.

Given its founder’s competence and admirable drive, it’s not surprising why Stack or Starve / Sink or Swim has managed to reach great heights. Armed with a portfolio that includes a record label, T-shirt company, and a tattoo business, Tadashi and X Dineroo are young musicians and entrepreneurs who have cemented a reputation not only for starting and scaling multiple ventures but also for giving back to their communities. Apart from giving food and clothes to the homeless and the less fortunate in their area, Tadashi is in the midst of providing cosmetic tattoos, as well, for breast cancer patients and those who have lost pieces of themselves because of their illnesses.

More can be expected from Stack or Starve / Sink or Swim Entertainment and the minds behind the company in the future. With their eyes set on snagging numerous awards and transforming the label into a million-dollar enterprise, they are not slowing down anytime soon. On top of establishing their names in the music industry, Hillside Drama and X Dineroo are also committed to making a difference in the lives of others. Currently, they are in the midst of opening a program for elementary and middle school students, one that would teach children different art techniques and skills. Moreover, they are hoping to mentor high school students interested in music and running a business mostly to teach them how important it was for them to graduate and get their high school diploma and how it helped them in their business today. In the near future, Stack or Starve/ Sink or Swim Entertainment  hopes to tour across the United States and become a household name. With the way things are going now, and with the amount of talent that they have, the sky’s the limit for the thriving hip-hop artist. Truth be told, it’s only a matter of time before X Dineroo , Hillside Drama, and their Independent record Label reach the pinnacle of the music industry, and their  fans will definitely enjoy being along for the ride.

Renowned Singer/Songwriter Will Buck Tells the Story of His Trials and Tribulations Through His Music

The power of music can never be stated enough. It is a vehicle for human expression that can resonate deep within the soul through powerful lyricism and beautiful melodies. Will Buck is an alternative singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Baltimore, Maryland, who is currently based in Los Angeles, California.

The esteemed singer-songwriter combines heavy blues guitar, strong storytelling lyrics and some electronic elements. Will Buck’s sound has been formally described as renegade folk with an electro-grunge type of delivery, but his music tends to transcend genres creating a distinct musical style of his own.

In the early parts of his career, he moved to Colorado and formed a high-energy rock and roll band called West Water Outlaws. He toured on the road over 100 days a year throughout the US by his early twenties with his band. Will Buck slept on hotel room floors, working odd jobs and playing three-hour bar sets for small fees and some food.

Will cut his teeth as a performer in dive bars around the United States, but as the saying goes: “All good things must come to an end.” After five years of building the band from playing parties in their basement to selling out venues and appearing at major festivals, this promising act broke up virtually overnight before they were poised to play the biggest show of their career, sign a management deal, and land multiple network television placements.

In the aftermath of the sudden disbandment in 2015, Will Buck sold the majority of his possessions, packed up his truck and headed west for what would be a year-long solo journey of rediscovery ending in eastern Australia.

The band’s sudden breakup in 2015 left Will Buck traveling solo before moving to Los Angeles for a shot at redemption. Fast forward several years, multiple EPs, countless shows, setbacks and triumphs, Will Buck has been dubbed as “someone to watch” by the Hollywood Digest, “a diamond in the rough” by Voyage LA, and has finished as a semi-finalist in The Opening Act’s Hollywood Bowl competition.

While his songs range from personal redemption and the unbreakable human spirit to addiction, healing, grief, and ultimately cultivating inner peace, what wins out in the end is Will’s honesty in his experiences and willingness to share it openly through his remarkable music. Coming off the heels of his newest release, “Shadows,” Will Buck is poised to make 2022 his year.

The renowned singer-songwriter has fought tooth and nail to get to where he is today. He hopes to inspire more and more people to actively pursue their passions and reach for their dreams through his music. As he continuously expresses his genuine artistry through his craft, more and more people are gravitating towards his music, and he is quickly gaining a loyal following who await his latest releases.

Will Buck is slowly making a name for himself with each new song he releases, and he doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. Old fans and new fans alike should be on the lookout for new music he puts out real soon.

Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone’s Series Arrived on Netflix

The new young adult fantasy series recently dropped on the popular streaming platform Netflix. Shadow and Bone TV series is based on Leigh Bardugo’s best-selling Grishaverse novels. It is one of the three books from the Grisha trilogy, including Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising as its subsequent novels.

The first trilogy presents a story of a war-torn Russian-inspired nation known as Ravka, split by an impenetrable darkness called “The Shadow Fold,” where monsters called “volcra” occupy the space. The story revolves around the life of a teenage orphan named Alina Starkov, who later develops immense power and reveals to the saintly sun summoner. Following the narrative, she is considered the chosen one who could heal a divided nation and destroy “The Shadow Fold.”

Compared to all good fantasy books, Leigh Bardugo’s fictional universe has a name of its own. It is called Grishaverse. The name is derived from the word “Grisha,” which pertains to the people in Shadow and Bone. To put it simply, the Grishas are people with magically gifted abilities. They are a class of individuals with supernatural powers, and they are considered unique compared to the rest of the humans who live there. In the said Netflix adaptation, Grishas are divided into groups based on their set of abilities. Each child undergoes a test to determine whether they’re Grisha or not. Once a child is classified as a Grisha, they are sent to the “Little Palace” to hone their abilities.

There are three main types or orders of Grisha. The first one is called Corporalki, having the ability to manipulate/treat the human body. Next, the Materialki, having the power to manipulate materials. Lastly, the Etherealki, having the power to control the natural elements. Alina, the protagonist, belongs in the Etherealki category because of her ability to summon light. The series focused on giving light to the different classes of the Grishaverse. Another thing that sets apart the Netflix series is the complexity of the narrative, which tackles societal issues such as race, politics, and social prejudices.

It was considerably a long journey for Leigh Bardugo before Shadow and Bone was adapted into a television series. Back in 2012, the first book of the trilogy came out and became a New York Times bestseller. In the same year, Dreamworks planned to franchise for an adaptation of the book. However, it didn’t come to fruition. According to Bardugo, “Well, we did first sell the option to the original trilogy to DreamWorks in 2012. And then, as so often happens in Hollywood, the executive who had brought it in and shepherded it left to work for another studio. So, the project was essentially orphaned.”

It was not until Netflix came into the picture and decided they wanted to adapt the book. When she met with Netflix, she felt she was in the right place. “One of the executives there said, ‘Yes, there’s all the flash and dazzle, but we take the stories of young people seriously, and we care about them.’ That really resonated with me,” the author said.

Anyone who has been on social media over the past year, especially during the pandemic, could not have missed the spot of sunshine that is Saweetie. The rapper dominates social media with her massive presence of over 17 million followers across Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok and her catchy single and samples of 90’s hip-hop classics.

Following her landmark success and establishment as a rap artist in 2020, Saweetie, whose real name is Diamonté Harper, is riding the wave to fame and more success as her song titled “Best Friends” featuring Doja Cat peak at the third spot on the top 10 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The song “Best Friends” solidifies Saweetie’s position as a rhythmic radio favorite as it hits the No. 1 position on Billboard Rhythmic Airplay Chart after gaining 9% in plays. Thanks to the impressive body of work, the LA-based rapper became the fifth female rapper to have three songs peak on the No. 1 spot of the Rhythmic Airplay chart. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have eight songs each, Megan Thee Stallion 4, and Iggy Azalea 3.

Although reaching the peak spot for the first time, Saweetie is familiar with hitting the top 10 spots of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs before she recorded “Best Friends.” In 2019, the hit single, “My Type,” landed on the No. 10 spots of Hot R & R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and was the Rhythmic Airplay charts leader.

Her third hit to make it the lead was “Back to the Streets,” featuring Jhene Aiko. In 2020, the rising star ascended the No. 9 positions with “Tap In” and almost made it to the top of the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay Chart again as the song peaked on the No. 2 spots. Beyond her undisputed solo success as a talented artist, the West Coast rapper has collaborated with several artists in the industry, such as Dua Lipa and Jhene Aiko. Doja Cat, Post Malone, DaBaby, Post Malone, City Girls, e.t c.

Not all roses, the “Icy Girl” rapper was once at the end of online bullying after she fumbled a freestyle session during an appearance on Hot 97, and one of the radio hosts described her as “basic.” After the session, her social media were filled with angry comments shaming her rap skills and insulting her. She admitted to “Cosmopolitan” that the incident traumatized her, and she has since adopted a hands-on approach to her songs, co-producing the beats.

With plans to dominate the hip-hop music scenes for a long time, Saweetie recently released her seven-song EP, titled “Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1,” getting her fans ready in anticipation of her debut album, currently titled “Pretty B—- Music.”

Aside from music, the 27-year-old rapper is a philanthropist to the core. She launched her Icy Baby Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to support low-income communities and help with educational support.

ARNSTAR on Continuing His Father’s Legacy in Music and Delving Into Acting and Entertainment

The influence of family is evident in some people’s career choices. Others can follow in the footsteps of their family legacy on their own accord, or they are forced to continue their influence in the industry. For versatile entertainer Arnstar, following in his family’s legacy has been a way to bring him closer to their spirits.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, as Sean Kirkland, the would-be entertainer grew up on the streets of Harlem. Kirkland was surrounded by art and culture as influences from the two boroughs, giving him a colorful upbringing. Even then, destiny had plans for the young Kirkland as he was born into a multi-faceted family that the community knew and respected.

Tara Kirkland and Sean Rucker, also known as Kippy Dee of the legendary Rock Steady Crew, cemented their names in the 80s. His mother, Tara, was known for her musical talent, and his father was a pioneer of hip-hop culture. Kippy Dee was also known as a b-boy and was recognizable on the streets for his style and fashion influence. Unfortunately, they passed away, and Kirkland was left struggling financially with his siblings.

It was music and dance that helped Kirkland pull himself up from his troubles, and eventually, he would follow in his parents’ footsteps and take the stage name ARNSTAR. As ARNSTAR, he would continue his father’s legacy and ascend to greatness. Bringing a diverse style, the rising star would create hip-hop, R&B, pop, and dance music. Regardless of the genre, ARNSTAR’s lyrics highlight essential subject matters while engaging his audience with a captivating flow that entices one to free themselves in full expression.

Outside of his music venture, ARNSTAR is one of the pioneers of a world-renowned dance culture that stems from Harlem called Litefeet. With his team, W.A.F.F.L.E. Jay Madera Braves Political Waters via His Music

In their expression of art, many artists steer clear of sensitive topics, especially ones that are political. Jay Madera is unfazed by political waters, and he aptly wades through them with his music’s message, bringing to light his informed perspective of the world around him.

Jay Madera, born in the heart of the Midwest, is a songwriter and musician who can best be described as a muckraker with a strong desire for his story to be told through song. The Cincinnati songwriter is a brilliant artist and employs a versatile style in pinpointing the salient points and political themes in society – observing, connecting the dots, and masterfully brewing the stories of the world around him before distilling it into an avalanche of sounds that inspires not just in melody but also in the message borne by his lyrics.

Recently, Jay Madera was signed by Pop Cautious Records—a Los Angeles-based indie record label that promotes, produces, and releases folk, soul, indie rock, and alternative music—and is set to release his debut album on March 26, which will be available on all streaming platforms. Over the past year, Madera had recorded some success with the release of his first singles. However, his LP Anxious Armada will be Jay Madera’s first complete artistic project.

Anxious Armada is marked by its interplay around themes of divisiveness, contradiction, and balance built on an exploration of vulnerable subject matters masterfully held together by exacting lyricism.

From early on, music has been a part of Jay Madera’s life. Both his skill and passion have evolved with the years. From initially detesting mandated piano lessons at a young age to picking up a guitar in his teenage years, he has honed his instrumental talent and his mind into a genuinely fascinating experience of music. Steering away from a romantic view of the world, his songs, while anthemic and musical, are replete with raw energy. He presents the world in all its glory and shame with lyrics that are both articulate and layered with meaning.

Uniting his consummate musical skill and keen intellect, Madera exhibits a versatility that mirrors a varied emotional and musical range, channeling the spirit of troubadours like Father John Misty, Ben Folds, and a much more soulful interpretation of Elvis Costello. His talent comfortably straddles both exuberant and the slower, stirring forms of music. There is a distinct undertone of self-awareness tinctured with sharp wit in how Jay Madera puts his message to song, deftly merging modern cultural observations with emotional themes that resonate with listeners globally.

In the coming years, Jay Madera plans to come clean through his music, conveying his passion, pain, and political opinion in a way that aims at the power balances in the world. He aspires to lead his audience on a journey of self-improvement through the tangle of endless content and mixed messages prevalent in the current era.

There is a growing sense of expectation, remarkable to observe, regarding the synergy between the artist and record label who amplify each other’s drive for truth, justice, peace, and spiritual awakening while, together, setting alight the music industry.

When DJ Nicky Rizz dropped his first single called “Ay Papi,” music lovers were captivated by its upbeat rhythm as it took events and the radio by storm. But the world-renowned DJ assures that the track was merely the beginning. Continuing where he left off, DJ Nicky will be releasing a new song called “Ay Mami,” aiming to bring the party vibes into people’s living room amid the uncertainty of the pandemic.

“Ay Mami” belongs to the guaracha genre, a new music genre that originated in Cuba. DJ Nicky Rizz hopes to bring back the iconic Saturday night club vibes to his listeners and transport them to a time when the world would gather every weekend to party. “Ay Mami” will indeed spice up living rooms across the country, bringing back the energy the quarantine has taken away from society.

The world may have been muted for over a year now, but DJ Nicky Rizz aims to ignite enthusiasm again. “Ay Mami” will remind listeners of what life was like before the “new normal” and reignite the vibes within themselves. DJ Nicky Rizz was born and raised in the city that never sleeps—New York City. Amid all the noise in the Big Apple, Nicky always had a fascination for music and how it can affect people’s moods.
